SQA Approved Textile Course

We regret to advise that the activities and course intended by the Kilt and Textile School have been suspended.  This is due to the restrictions imposed by the government in consequence of the Covid 19 virus epidemic.

SQA Customised Award in Textile Accessory Course - delivered from the "Original Kilt School of Scotland" now located at 147 Mid Street, Keith. This is a totally unique SQA approved course delivered by the Keith Kilt and Textile Centre.

- let your imagination run riot using mixed media, felt, beads and other exciting fabrics including Tweed, Tartan and Textiles - there are no boundries to your imagination.


The Course will take you through various creative textile procedures including Basic Dressmaking, Pattern reading/design, Tie making, Crazy Felt/Wet Felt/Needle felting and embellishing, Beadmaking and jewellery techniques, Teddy Bear making and much more.


Individual Courses can be booked and tailored to your individual needs. The course is delivered by tutors with years of Textile Experience. Please contact us for further details
and dates when the course will be delivered. Also like us on face book and keep up to date with pictures of kilts/teddy bears, gifts from the shop etc. 


The course costs £50.00 per day (10am - 4pm) materials may be purchased on the course or you can provide your own 


Coffee/tea will be provided and if you're lucky a fancy biscuit!!


Please note - We are also running workshops on various subjects including Handbag making, applique, felting, fabric flowers/ beads, embossing on cards, but to mention a few. Workshops cost £50.00 per day depending on the workshop - excluding materials
